About

I am currently working as a scientist in the Cardiovascular Biomechanics field at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Previously, I had the privilege of working under the guidance of Professor Gerhard A. Holzapfel at the Institute of Biomechanics, Graz University of Technology, Austria. My primary research interests focus on the computational modeling and simulation of soft fibrous tissues, especially arterial walls and heart valve leaflets. I have worked on characterizing bioprosthetic heart valve tissues through biaxial and inflation tests as well as computational simulations of bioprosthetic heart valves at the Tissue Mechanics Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Connecticut, CT, USA.
