About

I am currently working in the Cardiovascular Biomechanics field at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Previously, I worked at the Institute of Biomechanics in the Graz University of Technology, Austria. My research interests lie primarily in the area of constitutive modeling for soft fibrous tissues such as arterial walls and heart valve leaflets. I have worked on characterizing and modeling of the bioprosthetic heart valve tissues through biaxial testing and inflation test as well as finite element simulations of bioprosthetic heart valves at the Tissue Mechanics Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Connecticut, CT, USA.
